![]() They are all so unique, but all work so well together. Let’s start with the addition of the new characters Cassian, Azriel, Mor, and Amren. It absolutely hooks you in from the very first chapter, and doesn’t even release its grip after you finish it. This book had so much more going for it than ACOTAR, it had more depth in every aspect from character development, relationships, world-building, and just general tension, angst, and events. It turns out that my taste in books hasn’t changed at all and this was still very much a 5 star read for me. This one is without a doubt, my favourite book in the series. ![]() ![]() Just like ACOTAR, this was my 3rd reading of A Court of Mist and Fury, with the last one being about 3 years ago. ![]() This is a non-spoiler review, but it will have spoilers for ACOTAR (fair warning). ![]()

I've started some books that looked (and sounded) like they'd be heat-level sweet that turned out to be filled with swearing and sex. Here's the thing: it's becoming more and more difficult to tell which books will be clean and which ones won't. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() goodwillgreatplainssc 99. 21 Ways to Worship: A Guide to Eucharistic Adoration by Vinny Flynn. She also wrote and illustrated such favorites as Be Nice to Spiders. Margaret Bloy Graham has illustrated two Caldecott Honor Books: Gene Zion's All Falling Down (1952) and Charlotte Zolotow's The Storm Book (1953). Gene Zion, who died in 1975, will always be remembered for his playful children's stories. Harry the Dirty Dog was followed by No Roses for Harry!, Harry and the Lady Next Door, and Harry by the Sea. Gene Zion and Margaret Bloy Graham collaborated on four picture books featuring the enormously popular white dog with black spots. Now a major television series from Apple TV+ starring Charlie Hunnam! ![]() ![]() ![]() And his commentary on religious topics is some of the worst I've read. I also had a hard time deciding if Heimerdinger was trying to write a novel, a memoir, or a sermon. It was so sadly predictable that you could guess what was going to happen 30 pages ahead of yourself. It really isn't a very impressive writing style.Īnother problem with this book is that is has the exact same plot progression as the books preceding it. So you get the story from the perspective of one person, but that one person knows all the details and thoughts of every person around him or her. What makes it worse is that Heimerdinger appears to have one writing style, and that is first person omniscient. The problem is so bad that he has to use different type sets to distinguish between narrators and I still had a hard time telling them apart. But he doesn't do a very good job of giving the narrators different voices. Heimerdinger split up the action in these books which required the use of two narrators. So let me just make it clear that this is a terrible book. ![]() I was kind of disappointed that there weren't more. Having looked through the reviews, all 18 pages of them, I've found only 6 reviewers that rate this book below 3. ![]() ![]()
